Law Students

Opportunities to participate in our summer internship program are available for law students who demonstrate ability, motivation, academic excellence and good interpersonal skills. We give the 12-week program top priority, and invest significant resources to train and prepare summer associates for their careers following law school.

The summer program is coordinated by a team of attorneys and our recruiting staff, who arrange numerous activities to provide broad exposure to legal work and practice at the Firm. Summer associates attend closings, motion hearings, depositions and trials, and participate in an in-house mock trial. Training programs emphasize practical skills in legal writing, research, professional ethics and responsibility, litigation, and computer technology. Summer associates experience a hands-on approach to the practice of law.

Flexibility is a key component of the program. Each summer associate is able to choose projects in a variety of areas. The diversity of experiences, coupled with the availability of staff, library resources, and technology, ensure the summer associate's growth and development in an area that is professionally gratifying.

In addition to bi-weekly meetings with program coordinators, and one-on-one evaluations, each summer associate is assigned a mentor to provide guidance and feedback. Several social events are arranged to allow opportunities to meet our attorneys and to ensure program participants play as hard as they work.
